A stray black cat was delivered to the safety of LRHS on Dec. 30th. After hanging around a property in Wolfeboro for months. During her wellness exam we discovered that this little stray was pregnant, so we placed her in capable and loving foster hands for around the clock care. On February 19th momma kitty (Luna) gave birth to 4 healthy kittens. Luna cared for these kittens until they were old enough to come back to the shelter and find new homes. They returned from foster on 4/24/24 and have clear bloodwork, clear fecal tests, and have had their first of 3 distemper vaccinations (they will require two more distemper boosters, one on 5/22/24 and one on 6/21/24). They are too young for their Rabies vaccination so that will need to be given at the time of their second distemper booster. This one is named Celestial she is sweet and curious but a little shy at first. If you have any questions or would like to adopt Celestial, please reach out to the adoption group directly.
