Hooter is a magnificent 2-year old male kitty who was brought to the HSOV on February 27, 2024 along with his companion (Tootsie). These boys were found on Third Street in Lowell Ohio around January 1st and kept safe during the cold weather. Hooter has a gray tabby short smooth coat, a long ringed tail, and an adorable chubby face with golden eyes, a dusting of white on his muzzle/chin, and long white whiskers. This big boy has a sweet, easygoing personality. Hooter was more than happy to pose for his photo session while continuing his afternoon cat nap(s). The Good Samaritan who found Hooter told us that he was good with other cats and also with children. Hooter was given vaccinations, wormer, and flea treatment on February 27, 2024. He weighed 10.3 lbs that day. Hooter was neutered on March 19, 2024 and was also given rabies vaccine. He weighed 10.4 lbs that day. Hooter is ready to find a fabulous home either through adoption or rescue. Rescue groups may contact our HSOV Feline Rescue Coordinator via email (XXXX@suddenlink.net). We can usually help with transportation. These updated photos were taken on April 6, 2024. We didn't think it was possible for Hooter to look even more adorable than he did in his original photos, but he proved us wrong (smile). This big boy definitely appeared to be more handsome/photogenic (perhaps because his awesome personality had emerged).Adoption processOur adoption process includes an adoption application which must be completed and approved by our shelter management. We verify veterinarian references and also approval from landlords if the pet will be housed in rental property. Home visits may also be required prior to adoption. All dogs/cats must be spayed/neutered before being adopted. Adoption fee for dogs is $150.00 which includes vaccinations, wormer, flea treatment, dog tag, microchip, and spay/neuter. Adoption fee for cats is $40 and includes vaccinations, wormer, flea treatment, and spay/neuter. Most adult cats (and kittens over 3-months of age) have already been spayed/neutered. Adoption fees for other species varies.Shelter locationWe are located at 90 Mt. Tom Rd. in Marietta ,Ohio 45750. We are open Tuesday through Saturday from 11:00am to 5:00pm; Sunday from Noon to 3:00pm. . Closed on Monday..
